Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail. (Unknown)
We have a loving fawn pied boy available for a qualified pet home. Bert is a litter brother to our Curio Great Muppet Caper. For information on Bert, please contact us at curiohounds@comcast.net
Please visit our FUTURE PLANS for updates on our plans for 2010. When we keep a dog to "grow up" in order to evaluate their potential show quality, we do so with the knowledge that not every puppy will mature with the potential they showed as youngsters. When this happens, we place them in homes where they are loved and spoiled as a single pet or one of a few. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Since we are very particular about the dogs we walk into a show ring with or put into our breeding plans, these dogs are still lovely to look at, are well socialized and are very loving. Once in a very great while, we have dogs available that have come back to us due to circumstances beyond their owners control. Before we offer these dogs to new homes, we allow them time to settle in here, make sure they're healthy and all vaccinations are current, and are well adjusted. Each dog is evaluated to make sure the next home is a good match. Sometimes this involves some training or extra socialization. Often this takes several months. All of this takes time and money. For this reason, these dogs are not offered as "Free to good home". There is a cost involved in acquiring one of these dogs, in keeping with the age and individual details of the dog.
