Champion Zebec Iron Eyes Cody (1987-1991)

Ch Whirlwind's Everready(TP) x Ch Laviere Racing With the Night

My first IG, my foundation sire, my friend...lost too soon.  From a litter of 2 Champions.   Skeeter finished with a flair, going Group 2 from the classes just behind the top winning toy dog (English Toy Spaniel) in the nation, putting him in the Top 20 for awhile.   Skeeter was bred only once, to our Nella...and produced 3 Champions.

Skeeter died in my arms...a sudden, tragic, and needless death.  I miss you Skeet.

Champion Salswift's San Andreas Curio (1990-present)

Ch Dasa's The Annihilator (TP) x Ch Salswift's Starstruck d'Dasa (TP)

Richter finished quickly, with several Best of Breed wins.  He was a super-sound little 14" dog that went on to become a top producer with 13 Champions to his credit.  Bred by Sally Smyth (Salswift), this dog was from the magical combination that produced 8 Champions including dual Am/Can Champions in two litters.  Richter went to the bridge in March of 2009, at the age of 18 1/2 years.after living a full life filled with love and devotion with Julie and her husband at Leirum Hounds.   He is sorely missed.

Champion Curio Daytona (1989-?)

Ch Zebec Iron Eyes Cody x Ch Zebec Passionella (TP)

Michael finished extremely quickly.  He was a joy to show.  He never produced a litter, which is unfortunate.

From a litter of 3 Champions.

Champion Curio Sydney (1990-?)

Ch Salswift's Sucess Story (TP) x Ch Zebec Passionella (TP)

Sydney finished very quickly for his owner, Pat Derrick.  He is the sire of four Champions.  This was unfortunately a bad decision on our part, as he is now behind the dogs being produced by a high volume internet breeder of questionable integrity.  In 1990, we didn't have the resources we have at our disposal now to determine whether the person we're dealing with is one that is responsible enough to have an intact dog from our breeding.

From a litter of four  Champions.  We liked the first litter so well we did it again!!

Champion Curio Brunswick O'Montrose (1991-2004)

CH Salswift's Sucess Story (TP) x CH Zebec Passionella (TP)

Bru finished quickly in Midwest competition before coming back to the Pacific Northwest to live with Dianne Hjeltness of Farfalla IGs.  He was retired and  spent his later years with a wonderful family.

Another of the kids from the second breeding of these two lovely dogs.

Champion Curio Fire Island d'Carousel  (1991-unknown)

Ch Salswift's Sucess Story (TP) x Ch Zebec Passionella (TP)

Boo finished in two weekends with four majors before the age of one year.  He is the sire of two Champions before circumstances forced me to place him in a "pet" home.

The other boy from the awesome second litter for these two Top Producers.

Curio Gold Coast (1993-present)

Ch Salswift San Andreas Curio (TP) x Ch Zebec Passionella (TP)

Pietro never finished...he was born just before I had to put all my dog showing/breeding activities on a back burner. He was major pointed, with several Breed wins to his credit, and would have finished quickly.  He was never bred, and is now in a retirement home.

Anthony's Seal Island Curio (2001-present)(Major pointed/retired...and being spoiled by his very own little girl)

Ch Anthony's Benjamin Bufard Blu x Ch Justa Minute d'Anthony

Ditto...our promising young hopeful...we were devastated when he manifested with Masticatory  Muscle  Myositis  (follow this link to read Ditto's story, and a subsequent link to learn more about this condition)

Salswift's The Belmont Curio (2001-present)  (Pointed/retired and living with a "twin" basenji and his new "mom")

Ch Salswift Secretariat x Ch Salswift's Wind Dancer

We decided not to use Rerun in our breeding program.  Maturity brought with it some structural  faults that we didn't want to perpetuate.

CH Anthony's Kissing Bandit   (May 31, 2001-present)

CH Salswift's Secretariat x Sweetfire's Kiss The Sky

It broke our hearts to retire and neuter Bandit and place him in a pet home.  Our decision came about when he began to seizure at the age of  almost 6.  Since we won't knowingly breed any dog with a health issue that has the potential to be inherited, the decision was a "no brainer".  We are extremely excited about the home he's in, living the life of a much loved and much spoiled boy.  We will always be thankful to the family that knowingly accepted him into their lives, knowing that they might have to deal with his occasional seizures.
